Alexander Chula is an NHS hospital doctor and writer. Born and raised in London, he is of mixed Thai and British ancestry.

He read Classics at Worcester College, Oxford, then medicine at St George's, University of London.
​
He has lived and worked in the UK, Thailand, Malawi and Italy, and is interested in cultural exchange between Europe, Africa and Asia.
​
Goodbye, Dr Banda: Lessons for the West from a Small African Country is his first book and will be published by Polygon in May 2023.
​
He is represented by Kelly Falconer of the Asia Literary Agency.
